What’s new in Surge 2.0
Surge brings the storefront layout and key shopping components into Shopify’s theme editor. This walkthrough introduces the areas to explore when setting up a store with Surge 2.0.
Build the complete journey
Start with the page types your business needs: a homepage to introduce the brand, product pages to explain the offer, and dedicated sales or advertorial layouts when the story needs more space. Use a consistent visual style across the journey.
Arrange native sections and blocks
Explore the sections included in your installed version. Add the content your shoppers need, then adjust spacing, colours, typography and mobile settings through the available controls. A useful page answers questions in the right order rather than displaying every block.
Review the buying tools
Check the product gallery, options, pack choices, bundles, add-ons and cart settings relevant to your offer. Availability and setup depend on the installed theme version and your store configuration. Verify the actual products, totals and discounts throughout the cart journey.
Use genuine proof
Bring in your own images, reviews and accurate product information. ConversionWise test examples explain the thinking behind features; they do not guarantee a result for another store.
Keep improving
Build in an unpublished theme, preview desktop and mobile, and review the finished buying journey before launch. Use the training, clinics and support included in your purchase plan to develop the next version of your store.
